This is an experience that any group of friends or a whole family can enjoy. Kiulu River is graded as Class I / II river by Malaysia and international standards, and provides an easier, and enjoyable, white water rafting trip in Sabah. There’s a short drive to reach the river, and once in the water the rafting covers a distance of 15 km, the longest in the whole Malaysia, and there are several rapids during its course. At the end of the rafting, the tour leaders will set up a barbeque for you by the riverside.
This tour is organized by professional guides and it subject to the weather condition. Departure to reach Kiulu is schedule from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu town. We recommend to have with you only a waterproof backpack with the bare essential: suitable outfit (with a change of clothes), mosquito repellent, a raincoat, a hat, a canteen, sunscreen, towel, sandals, a waterproof camera and your swimsuit. Although kids can join, this tour isn’t suitable for children below 5 years old. Participants must have trimmed fingernails and toenails. No jewelries and valuable items allowed to be worn (or brought along) during the rafting.
Included in the deal there are transportation to and from Kota Kinabalu, rafting equipment and basic insurance coverage. However, we recommend all our customers, independently of tours and activities booked, to subscribe a proper travel insurance from abroad before arrival. Specifically for sport activities, make sure the insurance policy subscribed covers those.
